Ten-finger technique
A personal vocabulary of speed, delicacy, counterpoint, and full-instrument touch.
Tunisian kanun player · composer
Farah Fersi carries the kanun beyond borders—uniting virtuosity, rhythmic invention, and Mediterranean memory in music made for a shared world.
قانون
01 · The artist
Raised in Tunisia within a convergence of Arab, African, Mediterranean, Eastern, and Western influences, Farah approaches music as a bridge between people.
Her personal technique uses all ten fingers and brings percussion into the kanun itself—expanding its expressive range while honoring its place at the heart of Arabic music.
02 · The signature
A personal vocabulary of speed, delicacy, counterpoint, and full-instrument touch.
Percussive gestures turn the kanun into both a string voice and a rhythmic body.
Tunisian identity becomes a living palette rather than a boundary around the music.
Arab and world traditions meet through composition, improvisation, and collaboration.
